The JS9 is more flexible than most SMGs: it takes optics, has a single/auto fire mode and moderate, predictable recoil. Vertical recoil is what you compensate; horizontal spread, timing and the decision to fire stay with you.
Setting it up in PUBG URC
Compensation is moderate; thanks to its optics the JS9 is worth tuning across several magnifications, not just for close range. Compensation is calculated from your sensitivity, accounts for stance (standing, crouching, prone) and is set separately for each scope — it is not a fixed macro.
Scopes
The SMG class takes scopes up to 4x: red dot, 2x, 3x and 4x. Most of the work with JS9 is on the red dot and 2x at close range, so tune those first.
Tip
Switch to single fire for precise mid-range shots — it noticeably widens where the gun is useful.
